Searching for your allies through radio broadcast has left you with a message from Mara Sov but responding to her message is currently not an option.
Instead, you will follow her instructions and head to the location where Ikora’s ship has crashed in an attempt to look for her.
It is believed that Ikora is the best way to reach out to the traveler and you must find her before all hope is lost.

How To Get Exegesis Mission?
Exegesis is the second mission that you obtain from The Final Shape main quest, which becomes available once you reach quest step 5.
This happens after you have interacted with the radio at the Refuge of Repose, where Mara Sov attempts to reach out to you.
Exegesis Mission Objectives
Once the mission begins, you will need to make your way to the waypoint which will be blocked off by a gate but this can be unlocked by taking and using the nearby Crystalline Key.
Continue making your way to the next waypoint and you will stumble upon some Hive enemies that you need to fight your way through.
The hive enemies will drop Concentrated Darkness, which you must collect and bring to a nearby Fount of Darkness. (Marked by waypoint)
This will open the path to the next area where you will find yourself in the middle of a round room that later where enemies attack you.
Once the enemies have been defeated, you will need to clear the vines by destroying 3 objects in the area that will cause them to disappear. (1 on the first floor and 2 on the second)
After getting a view of the area, you will need to make your way to the smoke coming from Ikora’s ship in the distance.
A relic known as an Aegis will appear, which you need to defeat enemies to get Concentrated Light, which must be brought to the nearby Fount of Light.
This will clear out a barrier that lets you pass through the next area where you fight through more enemies before you can continue making your way to Ikora’s Ship.
A Crystalline Key will also be in the area and this is blocked by a barrier until you activate the nearby Founts. (Light and Dark)
The next area can be quite tricky as you will need to collect Concentrated Darkness and Light by defeating enemies to get Concentrated Light and Darkness.
There will be 4 Founts that you need to activate and these need to be done in a pattern, which is done in the order of Light, Dark, Light Dark.
Start by collecting Concentrated Light by using the nearby Aegis, which you can reach after using a Crystalline Key and activate the Fount on the Right.
The same needs to be done with the Fount of Darkness on the right as well before you repeat the same steps with the Founts on the left.
Proceed further by making your way to Ikora’s ship and don’t forget to open the Prismatic Chest nearby to unlock more Prismatic Abilities.
Once you reach Ikora’s ship, you may jump on top of it to investigate the area, which reveals a message left by Ikora.
As you continue your search for Ikora, you will stumble upon a Pillar of Silence that is shielded but the shield may be taken out using a blast from the Aegis.
The Pillar of Silence will escape and you will need to follow the waypoint that leads you to where it has run off to hide.
You will eventually reach a cave where the Pillar of Silence will be waiting and will need to make use of the Aegis once more to defeat it.
There will be 2 Founts (Light and Darkness) that you will need to activate to bring the Pillar of Silence out of hiding.
Continue defeating enemies and dealing damage to the Pillar of Silence after you have disabled its shield until you have taken it down.
The path leading out of the cave will be open and you may continue making your way through after grabbing the rewards from a nearby chest.
You will reach The Blooming and will be ambushed by forces sent by The Witness, which you will need to defeat.
This includes battling a Tormentor but you also have access to a nearby Prismatic Well if you need an advantage over it.
Once all the enemies in the area are defeated, a waypoint will lead you to Ikora, and after a short discussion a cutscene will begin and she will be gone afterward.
You will need to head over to the nearby campsite to join Ikora and once you arrive, the mission will come to an end.
Exegesis Rewards
Completing this mission will allow you to progress further with the Final Shape Quest and will also reward you with XP.
A Prismatic Chest can be opened in the mission that provides you with Strand Grenade and Arc Melee Abilities for your Prismatic Subclass.
Summary
After finding Ikora’s ship, you were able to locate her and now you have joined up at the Refuge of Silver Wings to plan further.
Ikora had made her attempts to commune with The Traveler and although she was unsure, she thinks that she heard screaming.
This leads her to believe that The Witness had been infecting The Traveler and soon something needs to be done to put a stop to what is happening.
