Valentine's Day holds extra special meaning for 66-year-old Corazon, who received a heart transplant two years ago on February 14th! ✨❤️After complaining of shortness of breath, Corazon sought care at Inova Schar Heart and Vascular, only to find out that her heart was severely damaged, to the extent that the most common front-line therapies were not an option. While the doctors were evaluating to understand whether a heart transplant would help Corazon, she suffered a heart attack. She was then placed on the most advanced form of life support to keep her alive until a new heart arrived and while she recovered.Fast forward to today, two years after the heart transplant, Corazon is grateful she got a second chance at life and wants to live it to the fullest.
